Konstantinos Perakis and his associates' network are committed to architectural quality, where contemporary design converges with the principles of vernacular architecture and the framework that each context implies.
ABOUT
WHO is WHO
Our network of associates brings together experience and knowledge grounded in the educational background, as well as in the practical experience.
With advanced degrees from the Polytechnic School of the University of the Aegean, the Technical University of Eindhoven, and an ongoing PhD at the National Technical University of Athens, we offer a unique blend of academic rigour and practical expertise.
This blend of backgrounds is shaping our approach to architecture, enabling us to design across various scales, from intricate construction details to comprehensive urban planning. Our work is characterised by a deep understanding of both the technical and the aesthetic dimensions of architecture.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy centres on the belief that architecture should be more than a structure—it should be an adaptive, living and livable space that integrates seamlessly with its environment and meets the evolving needs of its occupants. We emphasize holistic sustainability, resilience, and a responsive design approach that allows our spaces to thrive over time.
The projects are primarily residential and are situated in unique settings such as the outskirts of Greek islands like Crete and Kythera. These environments demand a design approach that respects the natural landscape and cultural heritage while incorporating modern functionality and sustainable practices. By blending contemporary design with vernacular styles, we ensure that each project is both contextually appropriate and forward-thinking.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to redefine architectural practice at its core. We aim to transform the design process, moving away from the traditional linear approach with strict manuals and protocols. Instead, we embrace a more flexible and adaptive methodology that responds to the specific demands of the environment, landscape, and climate, as well as the unique guidelines of our clients.
While our design philosophy guides our aesthetic choices, we believe in creating spaces that are open to evolution, allowing them to develop their own ecosystems over time. We see the role of the architect not as one who imposes strict norms, but as one who facilitates cultural and spatial growth, providing opportunities for continuous transformation and adaptation.
